: How long does it take for a wedding gown to come in?

Most wedding gowns take 12-16 weeks to come in. If we need a wedding gown ASAP, often times a vendor may have the dress in stock here in the U.S. In this case the gown can be here within a week.
How long do bridesmaids orders take to come in?
Bridesmaids dresses take anywhere from 5 days (our in stock program) to 14 weeks to arrive, depending on which company your dress will be ordered from. For instance, dresses from Eden’s in stock program arrive in about 5 days, whereas Watters bridesmaids dresses have about a 12 week turn around time.
What is the normal ordering process?
99% of dresses are made overseas. Your order is submitted to the vendor, the dress is made to order, inspected, and then shipped to the United States. The dress goes through customs before arriving in the store.
Why must I pay a “rush fee” to get a dress earlier?
A “rush fee” allows your dress to “cut” the line at the factory. The factory actually stops production and puts your gown at the head of the line. Bridals By Jodi does not make any profit off “rush fees”.
Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
No, you do not need an appointment — but it is preferred. We never turn anyone away from trying on dresses. By setting up an appointment, we can make sure you receive the proper individual attention you deserve.
Do you have an in-house seamstress?
We have three seamstresses that come to the shop on a weekly basis. All three have their own seamstress businesses and specialize in bridal.
I do not get off work until 7 pm. Can I set up an appointment for late evening?
Absolutely! Appointments are taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 10 am and 7 pm appointments are preferred, since regular hours are 11 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday. After hours appointments ensure you receive the private attention you deserve.

We are directly across from Northwoods Mall in North Charleston, South Carolina, in the same complex as Toys R US and Marshall’s. We are directly behind Wachovia Bank.
